Assemble your dish as per the included instructions and connect all cables between the dish, the receiver and a TV. Ensure that:
- the dish's nuts and bolts are not tightened - you will need to make adjustments to the alignment of the dish to maximise satellite signal Quality,
- there are no major obstructions in front of the dish, such as trees and buildings - the Quality of the satellite signal may be adversely affected, and
- you have a compass for aligning the dish to the satellite.
The Satellite Signal Location Map below shows you the horizontal alignment of the dish from north. Find the appropriate alignment corresponding to your location on the map. Note that this figure will only be an approximation and systematic adjustment of the dish will be required to maximise satellite signal Quality.

Configure your Satellite Receiver
Please note that your satellite receiver already contains the correct channel information. All you need to do is to select the correct satellite on the receiver.
DO NOT RESET DATABASE OR RESCAN FOR CHANNELS ON THE RECEIVER AS YOU MAY ERASE THE INFORMATION ON YOUR RECEIVER!
- Turn on your satellite receiver and display it on your TV.
- You may be asked to select a language. Please select English. Selecting a language you don't understand will make it difficult for you to proceed with the installation!
- Wait until the TV screen displays the message No or Bad Signal (or, if you are lucky, a TV channel will appear. In this case, still continue with the installation as you may still be able to fine tune the Quality of your satellite signal.)
- Press Menu button and select Installation, press OK button
- Enter PIN code:
0 0 0 0 - Select Dish Setting, press OK button
- Ensure that the satellite selected is: Optus C1/Ku.
Align your Satellite Dish
On your TV, you should see Quality and Level. For this operation, we need only focus on Quality.
- Align the dish to the direction that you obtained from the Satellite Signal Location Map. Note that this direction is only an approximation.
- Move your dish across the sky in the general direction of the satellite. Notice on your TV the Quality of the signal, the aim is to maximise this and make it green. Move the dish enough so that you get a general idea of where the satellite is in the sky.
Satellite Adjustment methodSystematically move the satellite dish to maximise the Quality of your signal. This is best done by moving the dish up and down progressively across the sky. ie. large up-and-down movement, small sidways movement. (see diagram below)- Fine tune Quality by adjusting the angle of the LNB. You can do this by simply twisting the entire LNB box in its supporting bracket in the dish.
- Once you are happy with the Quality of the signal, tighten all nuts and bolts.
